Each piece is ready-to-hang, mounted on acid-free backing and matted with acid-free Crescent mat board for longer life. It is then professionally framed using UV blocking glass, and hand-crafted hard wood frames.

Due to the limitation of scanning and imaging technology, the colors in these images might not exactly replicate the colors in the actual hand-painted works.

Nuttall's Woodpecker
This was a new visitor to my bird feeders in 2003 - so of course I had to draw it! I love to draw woodpeckers on really detailed wood surfaces, I think it brings out a feeling of their true nature.
Price: $675
Hawk Owl
Once again with textures and patterns I was inspired to draw another owl. I like how piercing the eyes came out - as though he sees you as prey!
Price: SOLD

The "Hawk Owl" is also available in a blank Greeting Card format.

Pacific Green Tree Frog
I found this little frog while cleaning out a flower bed. I decided it would be interesting to do a picture of him with a few other things I had found on a walk earlier that day - including a woodpecker feather, some leaves, lichen, and a piece of wood. Of course, when I was done I put the frog right back where I found him.
Price: $450

A limited number (32), Iris Gyclee prints of the "Pacific Green Tree Frog" are also available.

Chestnut-backed Chickadee #4

Screach Owl
I really enjoy drawing the rich texture and patterns of owl feathers, there is a complexity I hope to master better in future work.

White Breasted Nuthatch
I got the idea for this picture after watching a nuthatch fly in and out of a nesting hole feeding its young. Though the bird intrigued me, I was fascinated with the tree bark. The detail and random pattern in the surface of the bark was time consuming to create, but was somthing I really enjoyed.
Price: $560

Chestnut-backed Chickadee #2
This was a consignment job for a very nice couple who love chickadees. I enjoy redrawing the same species of bird because it gives me a chance to see with new eyes what I might have missed before.

Saw-whet Owl
I was inspired to do this drawing because I had spent so much time over the last year on small birds. I was looking to do something a bit more intense, with stronger emotion. I hope I captured something in those eyes!

Chestnut-backed Chickadee
The chickadee makes a cheerful, playful sound, almost inviting you to joing him hanging upside down in a tree.

Hairy Woodpecker
Everytime I see a woodpecker I humorously ask myself how they prevent themselves from getting a headache. ;-) In making this drawing I had the most fun making the tiny bug holes in the trunk of the tree.

Red-tailed Hawk
I feel the red-tailed hawk represents pure power. I find it so exciting to watch them take off from their perch and fly. I think myself fortunate to live in an area where I can often see these majestic birds fly.
